The company was formed in November 1989 to
operate jet boat rides on the Huon River
approximately 40 kilometres south of Hobart. It is
located on the Esplanade at Huonville beside the
Huon River.
The company is an Accredited Tourism Business
with the Tourism Council of Tasmania and carries
Public Insurance Liability Cover of $10
Million.
Steady growth over 13 years has resulted in the
company being one of the major tourism operators in
Tasmanian and south of Hobart providing:
- Jet boat rides
- River cruises
- Four wheel drive adventure tours
- Waterfront Café with 50 seats and
verandah over the river
- Hire of pedal boats, aqua bikes and
canoes
- Tourism Information Centre
- Base for water / float plane tours of the
south west of Tasmania.
All buildings, vessels and equipment comply with
relevant Australian and Tasmanian requirements:
- Vessels by the Australian Uniform Shipping
Laws Code and are surveyed annually by Marine
& Safety Tasmania
- Four wheel drive vehicles are licensed by
Transport Tasmania
- Buildings by the Uniform Building Code of
Australia
- Tourism Information Centre by the standards
issued by the Tasmanian Visitor Information
Network.
All staff are Aussie Host or FTOLI trained and
must pass relevant tests:
- Vessel drivers in accordance with
requirements of Marine and Safety Tasmania
- Vehicle drivers have a license to drive
public vehicles issued by Transport
Tasmania.
